Home / Hope & Healing Series
Hidden between Earth and the heavens, Angel Wing Academy trains puppies to become Guardian Angels–earning stars by healing hearts, restoring hope, and helping families find their way through difficult times. But Pixie, a bouncy Pomeranian with a crooked halo and heart-shaped sparkles, doesn’t do anything the “proper” way.
When a desperate wish ripples through Angel Wing from a struggling family on Earth, Pixie volunteers for an impossible mission. A beloved dog has passed away, leaving behind a big brother who feels responsible for everyone’s wellbeing and a human spiraling into depression. With no clear path forward and no guaranteed of success, Pixie must figure out how to help a family falling apart.
Through Pixie’s journey–told from the dogs’ perspective–young readers explore how families face loss, depression, and healing. This hopeful story shows children that being different is a gift, that asking for help is brave, and that even when things feel impossibly hard, love finds a way forward.
LESSON 2: LOVE! (MENDING BROKEN THINGS)
LESSON 3: STAY! (CONNECTION ACROSS DISTANCES)
WHAT CHILDREN WILL DISCOVER
Love Continues: Even when someone we love is gone, the connection between hearts continues. Loss changes us, but it doesn’t break the bonds we’ve built.
Depression is Real: Sometimes people we love struggle to feel joy or hope. It’s not their fault, and with support and time, healing is possible.
Asking for Help is Brave: A character learns he can’t fix everything alone. Seeking support from others isn’t a weakness–it’s one of the strongest things we can do.
Being Different is Your Strength: Pixie’s crooked halo and imperfect magic make her uniquely qualified to help in ways “perfect” angels cannot. Our differences matter.
