Remember that kid who couldn’t stop doodling in the margins of his school tests? That’s Bryce! His artistic journey began with a fourth-grade comic strip assignment that sparked a lifelong love affair with storytelling and art. (His parents probably wish they’d known how many art books and supplies that one homework assignment would lead to!)
From his hometown of Phoenix to the bright lights of Los Angeles, and finally to the bustling streets of New York City, Bryce has been on quite the creative adventure. When he’s not bringing Eddie’s heartwarming friendship tales to life, he’s quite the storytelling superhero—directing feature films, creating music videos, and working with big names like ESPN, CBS, 20th Century Fox, and HGTV. But his heart belongs to illustration, where he captures the magic of true friendship and turns snow day adventures into lessons about respect, acceptance, and being your authentic self.
His love for bringing children’s stories to life has led him to illustrate beloved books like Small Boy, Big Dreams, The Too Much Unicorn, and Not Enough Dragon. In 2023, he even wrote and illustrated his own children’s graphic novel, Pink Robot Unicorn Princess—because why choose between robots and unicorns when you can have both? These days, you’ll find him in New York City, accompanied by his terrier Mr. Smalls (who we suspect might be his secret art critic). Together, they’re proving that the kid who once doodled in textbooks knew exactly what he was doing all along—especially when it comes to drawing bulldogs who teach us what real friendship looks like!
